It’s been a long time coming, but certainly worth the wait! Last week Giant released the details of their Recreational Range (sub $1500 bikes) for the 2013 season. And it gets better as many of the models are already in stock with some on our shop floors.
Since the devastating March 2011 tsunami in Japan there has been increased pressure on factories to either rebuild and or get production running again for the world wide demands from consumers’. The effects of these supply shortages have arisen mainly from Shimano the biggest bicycle component manufacturer which resulted in stock shortages on some of our most popular Giant models since January 2012. In particular the then Trail Glide (now Sedona) models, Youth BMX’s and MTB’s.
The new 2013 range is certainly an impressive looking range across all categories. Great new colours, models and frame designs along with new 2013 component specs make this one of the better ranges we have seen to date. Key updates and changes on models are noted below.
